This note describes how Peptide Titans Research Database profiles are compiled, reviewed, and kept current. The database is an independent educational resource — separate from product listings — intended for qualified researchers, educators, and laboratory professionals.
What goes into a profile
Each peptide profile is assembled from structured fields rather than free-form marketing copy:
- Identity data — systematic name, CAS, sequence, molecular formula, and public database cross-references (PubChem, UniProt where applicable).
- Classification — research categories, mechanisms, pathways, and receptors drawn from a controlled taxonomy.
- Evidence records — literature claims tagged with an evidence tier and study model. Where a primary source is available, it is linked to PubMed or DOI.
- Timeline events — discovery milestones and notable publications indexed chronologically.
- Laboratory reference — storage, handling, and solubility notes where published data exists (not dosing guidance).
Sourcing standards
- Primary literature preferred. Peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed sources take precedence. Preprints may be indexed with clear labeling when no peer-reviewed equivalent exists.
- No anecdote or forum sources. Social media reports, patient testimonials, and marketing materials are excluded.
- Traceable references. Every evidence row links to an external identifier (PMID, DOI, or curated URL) so readers can verify the original paper.
- Neutral language. Profile text describes mechanisms and observations “under investigation” — not established clinical effects.
Review process
New and updated profiles pass through a structured review before publication:
- Identity fields are cross-checked against PubChem and primary literature.
- Evidence claims are classified by tier and mapped to the originating publication.
- Language is screened for medical advice, dosing, or promotional claims.
- Taxonomy assignments (category, mechanism, receptor) are validated against the controlled vocabulary.

What we exclude
- Product links, pricing, or purchase CTAs within research profiles.
- Dosing protocols, administration routes, or “how to use” instructions.
- Health outcome claims or comparisons to approved drugs.
- User-generated content without peer-reviewed backing.
Corrections: If you identify a factual error in a profile — incorrect CAS, misclassified publication, broken DOI — please contact us with the profile name and source reference. Verified corrections are prioritized in the weekly review queue.
